Recently, IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders have appointed former Netherlands cricketer Ryan Ten Doeschate as their fielding coach.

Fondly called Tendo, Doeschate has replaced James Foster who is now going to be an assistant coach in the next season of the IPL.

Both of them will be reporting to head coach Chandrakant Pandit in the new season of the IPL.

Doeschate was a member of the Kolkata Knight Riders squad in the 2012 and 2014 seasons.

The Netherlands cricketer announced his retirement from the national side last year and has also completed his stint with Essex in English county cricket.

Kolkata Knight Riders tweeted the new announcement and CEO Venky Mysore is happy to have Ryan back.

We are very happy to welcome Tendo back to the KKR family in his role as fielding coach. Tendo played an important role as a player from 2011-14 and in the two championships the KKR won in 2012 and 2014 and has been a genuine supporter of KKR all these years.

A mini-auction will soon be held on the 16th of December before the start of the 2023 IPL season.
