Sania Mirza gave a motivational speech to RCB players before their match against the Giants, asking them to embrace the pressure and enjoy the game in WPL. The former tennis player, who recently played her last Grand Slam match at the Australian Open, emphasized the importance of finding pleasure in the midst of pressure.

During the RCB’s match against the Giants, Sania Mirza delivered a motivational speech, encouraging the players to welcome the pressure. Despite her retirement from Grand Slam matches earlier this year, Mirza believes that it’s crucial to enjoy the game, even under immense pressure.

“I honestly just told the girls that we obviously had a couple of tough matches. I just told them we need to remember why we are here and we need to remember that every day is a new opportunity. We need to enjoy the moment because it can be overwhelming,”

Mirza said to her team, prior to the game.

The start of the tournament has been a disastrous one for the Challengers as they have faced crushing defeats against the Delhi Capitals and the Mumbai Indians. As a result, they find themselves in fourth place in the points table with a net run rate of -3.176.

The Giants, led by Sneh Rana, have lost both their matches against the MI and UP Warriorz and are placed at the bottom of the table. This provides a good opportunity for the Challengers to make a comeback.

Star RCB batter Devine expressed her desire for the opening partnership with RCB captain Smriti Mandhana to score more runs. She highlighted that the duo has provided strong starts in all three matches so far in the WPL.

Devine said:

“I would certainly like us to go a little bit deeper and score a few more runs. The great thing about these sort of competition is that you get to bat with world-class players and Smriti is really outstanding.”
