After injuring his knee in the first T20I, India batter Sanju Samson has been ruled out from the remainder of the series.

However, the Kerala-born batter is not in the least bit negative and has shared a positive message where he says that all is well.

While fielding on the boundary line during the first T20I at Mumbai, Samson landed on his knee which caused him a lot of pain.

After that, he was taken for scans at a hospital by the BCCI medical team.

The board has also released a statement on Samson’s injury which reads,

Samson hurt his left knee while attempting to field a ball near the boundary ropes during the first T20I. He was taken for scans and a specialist opinion this afternoon in Mumbai by the BCCI medical team and has been advised rest and rehabilitation.

Samson has been replaced by Jitesh Sharma who had a brilliant 2022 season with the Punjab Kings in the IPL.

Hardik Pandya and Shikhar Dhawan react on Sanju Samson’s Instagram post

Samson shared a picture of himself on his Instagram handle and he wrote in the caption that all is well.

Soon after, comments from Hardik Pandya and Shikhar Dhawan came in for Samson.

While Pandya posted a heart emoji, Dhawan wished Samson to get well soon.

Overall, Samson has played 11 ODIs and 17 T20Is for India but his performances have been few and far between.

Since making his debut in 2015, Samson has received the long rope only since 2020.

He made many appearances against New Zealand in two and three matches against Australia.

In 2022, Samson was present in all three T20Is against Sri Lanka in February.

He was, however, not selected for the South Africa T20I home series.

In July, Samson played in the first T20I but was not picked for the second and third T20Is.

And then finally, he was rejected for the T20 World Cup as India decided to go ahead with Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant as their first and second-choice wicketkeepers.
