In the 11th game of the Indian Premier League, Rajasthan Royals beat Delhi Capitals by 57 runs at Guwahati on the 8th of April.

While chasing a big target of 200 runs, it became difficult for Delhi to get to the target as Trent Boult picked up Prithvi Shaw and Manish Pandey to put his team in the driver’s seat.

For Prithvi Shaw, he was given an outswinger by Boult which he tried to edge past mid-on but it found the thick edge of the bat wherein skipper Samson took an excellent one-handed catch.

On the other hand, Delhi Capitals won the toss at Guwahati and decided to field first in the hopes of registering their first win of the tournament.

However, Rajasthan ensured that Delhi Capitals didn’t remain in the game right from the start with Jaiswal and Buttler scoring big.

Together, they stitched a 98-run partnership between them with Jaiswal scoring 60 from 31 balls and Buttler scoring 79 from 51 deliveries.

Also, Buttler kept playing the role of anchor in the Powerplay overs and ensured that the scoreboard kept moving.

Meanwhile, Mukesh Kumar dismissed both Samson and Riyan Parag who failed to make any impact on the scoreboard.

However, Shimron Hetmyer played fabulous innings of 39* from 21 balls that ensured that Rajasthan reached a massive score.

Delhi gets third defeat of the season against Rajasthan Royals

Meanwhile, chasing a target of 200 runs always seemed impossible for Delhi Capitals to chase in the second innings.

Moreover, the pressure became added when Trent Boult bowled some fiery spells right at the start to push DC at the backfoot.

On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals faced a blip as they lost to Punjab Kings by a narrow margin of five runs at Guwahati.

But, in this game, thanks to the contributions of their batters, RR was able to post a total of 200 for Delhi Capitals to chase.
