Scott Styris and Lee give their assessments on Prithvi Shaw and Jaiswal

Prithvi Shaw - Delhi Capitals

Former Australia and New Zealand players, Brett Lee and Scott Styris have given their assessment of two youngsters playing in IPL 2023.

These are none other than Prithvi Shaw and Yashasvi Jaiswal. While the former has been quite out of form, the latter continues to play well for RR.

Additionally, Shaw has played only six games this season and has managed to get only 47 runs with an average of 7.83, and his highest score this season is 15 runs.

Furthermore, his last game was against the Kolkata Knight Riders where he made only 13 runs.

Now, Phil Salt has taken his place at the top and has played some incredible knocks so far.

Meanwhile, Yashasvi Jaiswal has continued to impress one and all with his batting prowess and has made 442 runs so far in 10 matches, wherein he has hit three fifties and one century with an average of 44.20.

That’s why Styris has shown concern for Shaw and said that the DC batter needs to get back in form fast.

I know you used Prithvi Shaw’s name here. All the competition of young players around…Shaw is so far off the pace, it’s not even funny. He needs to work, he needs to go back to domestic cricket and the IPL, and work on his game. He has to get himself fit and be indispensable.

Brett Lee predicts that Jaiswal will play for India for a very long time

On the other hand, Brett Lee has predicted that Yashasvi Jaiswal will surely play for India for a long time given his current form.

Also, the young batter has managed to earn great respect from the former pacer who is quite impressed with his performances.

I’m really impressed by his (Yashasvi Jaiswal) temperament, his strike rate is absolutely brilliant. He’s got the right attitude. He’s going to play for India for many, many years.
