Shubhman Gill is living up to the hype and is already taking giant strides in international cricket. He scored a mammoth 208 becoming the seventh Indian player to score a double hundred. He scored back to back centuries as he continued to stay consistent in ODI cricket.

Shubhman Gill has already scored 1000 runs in ODI cricket. After his 3rd hundred in the first ODI against New Zealand, Gill became the fastest Indian batter to score 1000 runs in international cricket. Gill achieved this feat in just 19 innings. Virat Kohli is the second best scoring 1000 runs in 24 innings.
Shubhman Gill has become the second fastest batter in the world to reach 1000 runs in One Day International cricket. He has taken 19 innings to reach this mark whereas Pakistani opener Fakhar Zaman is the fastest batter to complete 1000 runs in 18 innings.
Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan have completed 1000 runs in 24 innings, whereas Shreyas Iyer and Navjyot Singh Sidhu did it in 25 innings.
Shubhman Gill is destined for big things in international cricket. He has a tremendous start in 2023 and will look to completely establish himself as an all format player for India. Rohit Sharma has also kept faith in him to open for the ODI World Cup in 2023.
