IPL franchise, Delhi Capitals’ Director of Cricket, Sourav Ganguly has predicted that the team can bounce back in the tournament strongly.

Furthermore, after losing 5 games in a row, DC is currently positioned 10th in the points table and is very eager to open their account in the next game.

Therefore, Ganguly has optimistically stated that there are still nine matches to go and he’s confident of Delhi Capitals making it to the playoffs.

Additionally, he has also stated that it just needs one game to turn things around and has also backed skipper David Warner.

Already Warner’s strike rate is under the scanner and he has become the talk of the town after not performing well in the tournament.

Thus, there is a lot of scope for improvement in the Delhi Capitals’ camp.

Says Ganguly,

We need to put this behind us. Back the captain, back each other together and we’ll come back fresh next game. We can’t get worse than this we can only get better, still nine games to go and we can win nine out of nine. It doesn’t matter if we qualify or don’t qualify, it doesn’t matter so much for us at this stage.

Adding further, Ganguly says,

But let’s look our inside, play for ourselves, play for our pride, and see if we can get there. We are a much better side than what is happening on the field at the moment. It just takes one game to turn things around and we’ll do that. Let’s stick to David (Warner), he’s the captain, and he’s the most important man in the team.

Kuldeep Yadav apologizes to Ricky Ponting after Delhi Capitals vs Mumbai Indians game

On the other hand, Head Coach, Ricky Ponting has recently shared an anecdote about Chinaman spinner, Kuldeep Yadav apologizing to him after the game against Mumbai Indians.

Apparently, Kuldeep and DC didn’t have a great outing against MI and the spinner was quite distraught with himself and also of letting his team and coaching staff down.

However, he did bounce back in the game against RCB where he picked up 2/23 from four overs and Ponting has praised his bowler a lot.

Says Ponting,

Good, really good bowlin performance. They challenged us early; they got off to a flier. Our attitude and commitment came back, we dragged it back. Kuldeep, where are you mate? Disappointed last game, weren’t you? You actually said sorry to me at the end of the game. So mate, don’t you ever say sorry to me or anyone for what happens on the cricket field. What I want you to do is bounce back strong and today with 2/23 off four, it was an outstanding spell of bowling. Well done.
