Sri Lanka blew off Ireland, against whom Bangladesh struggled a win

Sri Lanka won by an innings and 280 runs against Ireland cricket team. Prabhat Jayasuriya alone took 10 wickets. Ireland put Bangladesh under pressure in the Test match. They made Bangladesh try their heart out to win the match. But Sri Lanka defeated those Irish easily.

Sri Lanka scored 591 runs in the first innings. Four batsmen scored centuries for that team. Captain Dimuth Karunaratne scored 179 runs. Kushal Mendis scored 140 runs. Sadira Samarvikrama scored 104 runs and Dinesh Chandimal scored 102 runs. Sri Lanka scored 591 runs against Ireland under their influence.

In response to that run, Ireland’s first innings ended on 143 runs. Prabhat alone took seven wickets in that innings. No Irish batsman could even score 50 runs. Lorcan Tucker scored the most runs. He scored 45 runs. Ireland were all out for 168 in the second innings. Harry Tector scored the highest run in that innings. He scored 42 runs. Ireland could not even come close to Sri Lanka’s run in two innings. They lost by an innings and 280 runs.

Two teams will play one more test. That match will start from April 24. Ireland has a one-day series against Bangladesh. Set series will start from May 9. They will play three matches. Ireland will also play a Test against England in June.
