Starc could not play in the first two Tests. But, he practiced hard in practice matches ahead of the third Test. Starc said, he is still not 100 percent fit. However, he said that there will be no difficulty in playing the match. Like India, Australia practiced in full swing at Indore on Monday.

Pat Cummins returned home due to mother’s illness. As a result, the responsibility of managing the Australia pace department has fallen on Starc. That Stark said,

“I’m fine. There will be some discomfort. It is not possible to be completely 100 percent fit. But I’m feeling good while playing. Not that this is the first time I will play a test match with physical discomfort. If I wanted to get 100 percent fit, I would not have been able to play more than five-six Tests in such days.”

Starc hopes to help the spinners as well with his abilities

Starc also wants to get benefits the way the Indian pacers getting benefits from the whirlwind wicket. Starc said,
“This tour has been tough for Australia’s strong bowlers. Yes, I hope there will be a spin on the wicket. But I want to help the spinners as much as possible to take 20 wickets against India. Indian environment is different. But success is not difficult if you believe in your own abilities.”

Apart from Starc coming back in play, Australia wants to learn from the mistakes of the second Test. In the second innings, they faced danger by playing the sweep shot. This time the batters practiced playing with straight bat in the nets. Steve Smith and Usman Khwaja batted for over an hour. The bowlers were Nathan Lyon and Matt Kuneman. These two batsmen played Kuneman comfortably despite being in danger from Lyon’s ball. He also emphasized on defense. Smith and Khwaja were so desperate for success that they batted again in the nets after practice. Marnus Labuchagne, Travis Head and Peter Handscomb were batting against Todd Murphy and Mitchell Swepson in the nets.
