Despite of making several serious allegations against Prithvi Shaw, there was no escape for Swapna Gill. The nagistrate court has ordered to send the bhojpuri actress to judicial custody for 14 days by after police custody is over. Three other persons arrested in connection with the physical abuse of Prithvi, have also been ordered to judicial custody for 14 days.
As the period of police custody expired on Monday, four persons including Swapna were produced in the court. After hearing the arguments of both sides, the judge ordered the accused to be remanded in judicial custody till February 20. The judge rejected the bail plea.
The police of Oshiwara police station have registered a case against the accused under sections 143, 148, 149, 384, 437, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code. They should stay in jail for now.
Prithvi’s friend Ashish Yadav filed a written complaint with the police against Swapna and eight people. He complained that they attacked his car with a baseball bat and threatened to implicate him in a false case if they did not pay 50 thousand rupees.
Swapna says, Prithvi Shaw offered money to settle down
When produced in court last Friday, Prithvi said that he hit her on the chest and hands. The Bhojpuri actress, popular on social media, also alleged that the Mumbai cricketer offered to settle the matter with money.
The police arrested Swapna and her friends on the night of the incident on February 16. Swapna said in the court,
“The allegations against me are not true. Instead Prithvi hit me on my chest and hands. The cricketer apologized to me after hitting me. He also requested me not to file a complaint with the police.” They were like 8-10 people. And there were only two of us.”
She also claimed in the court that he did not know Prithvi and had never seen her.
She further complained that the drunken Prithvi had offered to settle 50,000 rupees in cash. Swapna and her friends went to Oshiwada police station to lodge a complaint that night itself, of the incident. The police arreated Swapna by the for speaking incoherently.
