Sanjeev Goenka owned Lucknow Super Giants are ready to roll in this year’s IPL.

They have bagged some big names in both pre-auction and auction buys.

KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis and Ravi Bishnoi were picked up by the franchise. Rahul will be leading the side.

Rahul has had an IPL full of ups and downs. With the Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore, he was a very average player and was not even looked at as a T20 specialist.

But, he has transformed himself pretty quickly according to the game and has been the highest run-getter for Punjab Kings.

Thus, Lucknow would hope to have a positive start to the IPL under Rahul’s leadership.

At the Mega Auctions, Lucknow Super Giants didn’t shy away from buying top players for their side.

Their main concern was to bag important players who will form a part of their playing XI.

They firstly secured Quinton de Kock and then Manish Pandey.

They then went on to buy quality all-rounders in Krunal Pandya, Deepak Hooda, K Gowtham, Jason Holder and Kyle Mayers.

Lucknow is also heavily loaded with pacers such as Mark Wood, Dushmantha Chameera and Avesh Khan.

But, now with Mark Wood sustaining an elbow injury, the pace department will be fully dependent on Avesh and Chameera.

Lucknow should also have invested in another legspinner who would’ve provided support to Ravi Bishnoi.

With a team full of all-rounders, Lucknow would need not worry about their batting lineup.
