Team India physio Nitin Patel will see a shift from the field to the NCA after the Sri Lanka series.

He will possibly get a promotion and a designation too as Head Sports Science and Medicine at the Bangalore facility.

This transfer is all set to happen after the Sri Lanka series.

Therefore, the BCCI is now inviting applications for physiotherapists for Senior India Men’s and Women’s teams.

They are also looking for physios who can fill in the positions at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.

For this, they are looking for a senior as well as four junior and assistant physios.

The application is a rather quirky one as it has put one condition on the candidates- to be able to work in unsocial hours.

Also, BCCI is also on the lookout for Strength and Conditioning coaches for Team India.

All selected candidates will have to report to Nitin Patel at the NCA.

This will allow the BCCI to hunt out fresh talent and recruit proper staff for the team.

Rahul Dravid himself suggested moving Patel to the NCA after a slew of injuries took place in the Indian camp.

The experience of Patel will be beneficial for Team India members at the NCA as they will rehab faster.

Team India currently has two physios working with them who are Nitin Patel and Yogesh Parmar.

As per the current rule, Team India always has two physios with them on all domestic and international series.

India’s previous general manager, Girish Dongre has been reinstated back to the secretary’s office in Ahmedabad.

BCCI have now started with a new policy of appointing general managers on a series-by-series basis.

Abey Kuruvilla is now General Manager, Game Development for Team India.
