Tendulkar applauds Team India’s trio of RRR shines in Nagpur

Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar praised R Ashwin, Rohit Sharma, and Ravindra Jadeja for their heroics in the first Test match at Nagpur. In the opening Test match, the trio put India on top against the world’s number-one-ranked Test side with their impressive performances. During the second session of Day 2, Sachin took to Twitter to call the three players the Indian team’s RRR.

Tendulkar was impressed by Team India’s performance

Rohit Sharma led the way with a captain’s knock of 120 runs, putting India in control. In reply to Australia’s below-par 177, India reached 226-5 at tea on the second day, with Rohit confidently registering his ninth Test hundred, including 15 fours and two sixes. Ravindra Jadeja, who had earlier claimed 5-47 with the ball, continued to trouble Australia as he scored a half-century (still batting). To start the day, Ravichandran Ashwin also contributed, showcasing his talent with five centuries and 13 half centuries. However, he was dismissed for 23 runs, with young Todd Murphy taking his wicket after claiming KL Rahul’s scalp on Day 1.

“The trio of Rohit, Ravindra & Ravichandran have helped India get ahead in this Test. Rohit has led from the front with his 100 while R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have got us important breakthroughs,”

Tendulkar tweeted.

The visitors wanted to score quickly by getting wickets. But their plan failed. They thought one wicket would mean a big loss. But it didn’t happen. India’s No. 9, a good batter, played well. This showed that what people said about the pitch before the game was wrong.

At first, Jadeja and Axar were slow and careful about both time and runs. But later, as it got darker, they started scoring faster. Axar hit some good shots. When Jadeja, Axar, and Ashwin got the ball again on Saturday, batting would be harder.
