Tom Moody explains the difference of Gill’s and Virat’s hundred

Shubman Gill

Former Australia all-rounder Tom Moody said that the difference between both the players’ know was the sixes. He further stated that Gill is a special player. Both Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli scored hundred in the match for their respective teams. Unfortunley, Gill’s team Gujarat Titans won the match. Royal Challengers Bangalore were forced to bat first after lossing the toss. Virat Kohli was playing a slow knock without any support in the opposite end. Virat ended up scoring century in 60 balls. However, Gill scored the century at the strike rate of 200.

Tom Moody said that

“Shubman Gill is such a special player, he really is. We have seen in all three formats in the last 12 months. Whether it’s the IPL or in Indian colors. He is such a delight to watch. He is just so composed at the crease. You look at his facial expression, you look at his body language, and he looks so much in control. He has got the game,” said Tom Moody.

He further added that

“Eight sixes! To me, that was the difference in the two hundreds. Both were brilliant hundreds. But Kohli only hit one six while Shubman Gill hit eight sixes. He ended up with a strike-rate of 200. That’s a significant difference. In a chasing situation, against a good bowling attack, hats off to him,” Tom Moody added.

Royal Challengers Bangalore losing the match has favored Mumbai Indians. MI has qualified for the playoffs with 16 points after winning the match against Hyderabad.
