Andrew McDonald, Australia’s head coach is designing his support staff and coaches team which will be helping the senior men’s team.

The two names that have popped up recently are those of former New Zealand player and captain, Daniel Vettori and Andre Borovec.

Both of them have been appointed as assistant coaches for the Australia senior men’s team.

Vettori has been a great coach for many different teams and franchises in recent times.

He also has a great partnership with McDonald as both of them played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Thus, McDonald had no hesitation in naming Vettori as an assistant coach for Australia.

Meanwhile, Borovec has not played any professional cricket but has held positions of batting and strategy coach with McDonald.

Australia has appointed one more assistant coach Ben Sawyer and Sunny Kaliyar who will be coaching Australia A team.

Michael Di Venuto will remain Australia’s full-time batting coach.

Sri Sriram and Clint McKay will be coaching the side for the T20 and ODI games in Sri Lanka.
