Virat Kohli pulls Axar Patel’s leg after hitting him for a six in the nets


Indian batting stalwart, Virat Kohli poked fun at Axar Patel after hitting him for a six in the net session ahead of the test series.

India is set to face Bangladesh in the 2-match test series. Bangladesh defeated India in the ODI series after impressive performances from the batters. However, India will look for redemption in the red ball series. Moreover, Rohit Sharma will miss the first test after suffering from a thumb injury in the second ODI. KL Rahul will replace him and lead the team in the first game.

Virat Kohli will feature in both matches. A few players received their maiden call-ups. Jaydev Unadkat replaces the injured Mohammad Shami. Further, ahead of the test series, Indian players took part in a practice session. Moreover, Virat Kohli looked in a joyful mood while batting in the nets.

Virat Kohli hits Axar Patel for a gigantic six

Virat Kohli arrived early on to the ground for the practice session. He started off with a few warm-up drills. Then, he entered the nets and had a good, long session. He exited the nets and had a knocking session while facing Siraj, Axar, and Ashwin. Post the knocking session, Kohli entered the nets again for a spin session.

Virat Kohli faced Axar Patel in the second net session. Kohli hit Axar Patel for a gigantic six straight down the ground. Post hitting the six, Virat looked into the joyful mood and teased Axar later. Virat surely seemed to have had a great net session. He was also seen offering a piece of advice to a few youngsters, including Shubhman Gill.

The first test will begin on 14th December 2022. Moreover, the test series is crucial for India, as they need to win the maximum number of games from now on to qualify for the WTC finals.
