Former India opener, Virender Sehwag has recently given a very witty remark for Shubman Gill.
In the latest game against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at home, Gill scored his maiden IPL century and ensured his team’s qualification for the Playoffs.
Meanwhile, Gill has been in quite a form this year as has scored 576 runs with an average of 48 and a strike rate of 146.19.
On the other hand, many experts had even stated beforehand that IPL 2023 will be Gill’s best one and that is proving to be true now.
Additionally, Gill has had quite a love affair going on with the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Punjab-born cricketer has scored all his fifties in the IPL this year at this venue only.
Against SRH, Gill made 101 runs and absolutely demolished the opposition bowlers with his mind-blowing batting.

Moreover, Sehwag has been full of praise for the youngster and stated that Gill’s long-time love affair with Narendra Modi Stadium has now turned into a marriage of sorts.
Furthermore, he also said that it looked as if Gill was a completely different person that day and was batting on a different wicket altogether.
Through this witty remark, Sehwag has pointed out Gill’s recent form in cricket.
Says Sehwag,
This was probably the biggest chapter. I would rather say that the love story has translated into marriage. It looked like he was batting on a completely different surface. He was scoring those boundaries with such ease but all other batters struggled. We have been talking about Shubman for a long time. This year he scored a hundred in T20Is and Tests, has a double hundred in ODI and now scored a century in IPL as well.
Meanwhile, Gill has now become the first Indian opener for Gujarat Titans to score a century in the IPL as well.
