Virender Sehwag says you will see MS Dhoni as mentor or coach or Director of Cricket.

Virender Sehwag on MS Dhoni said that

“Impact Player rule doesn’t apply to MS Dhoni. Because he’s playing only for captaincy. He has to stay in the ground for captaincy. The Impact Player rule is for someone who doesn’t field but bats, or a bowler who doesn’t need to bat. Dhoni has to field 20 overs; if he’s not the captain, he won’t even play as Impact Player. Then, you will see him as mentor or coach or Director of Cricket,” Virender Sehwag told Cricbuzz.

The former Chennai player and current bowling coach Bravo told that

“100 per cent. Especially, with the Impact Player rule. It will keep prolonging his career,” Bravo had told Star Sports after CSK had qualified for the final last week.

The statement of Bravo and Virender Sehwag are the two contrasting statements. However, the man himself told that there is still 8 months more for the mini auction. So he might decide during that time. But we have seen many pictures of MS Dhoni struggling with his knee injury. The fans want MS Dhoni to win it one last time and retire from the IPL. Mahi has already informed us that he will always be part of the Chennai Franchise in any part of the team.

Virender Sehwag’s statement is right as a captain and keeper he has to field all the 20 overs while bowling. Kapil Dev also said that do we want him to play all his life. MS Dhoni is playing his 250th T20 match.
