Vishnu Vinod is a wicketkeeper-batter from Kerala. The 29 year old has already played three games in the Indian Premier League before debuting for Mumbai. He made debut for Mumbai Indians against Gujarat Titans on May 12 at the Wankhede Stadium. He has played 50 T20 matches in the domestics and has scored 1191 runs at a strike rate of 138.81. His T20 debut was against Karnataka in April 2014. In his T20 debut he scored 33 off 35. In the 2017 IPL season Royal Challengers Bangalore signed him from the Auction.

In his IPL debut, Vishnu Vinod played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore under Virat Kohli’s captaincy. Unfortunately, he could score only 19 runs at a strike rate of 73.07. Apart from RCB, he is been part of Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals franchises. But, he failed to get into the playing 11 in these teams. After the good performance, Mumbai Indians signed him for 20 Lakhs from this year’s auction. His shots impressed many cricketers and fans. The free flow of his bat was so good to watch were the words of fans.
Gujarat Titans won the toss and decided to bowl first in Wankhede. The openers Rohit Sharma and Ishan got out after a quick cameo. Rashid Khan dismissed both the openers in the same over after the powerplay. Nehal Wadhera also could not make a big impact in the innings.
