Indian wicketkeeper batter, Rishabh Pant suffered a near-fatal accident while traveling to his hometown. Pant planned to surprise his family for New Year’s Eve. However, the road trip saw a tragic end. Rishabh Pant was driving his Mercedes from Delhi to reach Roorkee. While driving on the Delhi-Dehradun highway, Rishabh lost control of his car, which was running at a high speed. He lost sight, and the car smashed into the road divider. The car reportedly flipped several times before catching fire.
Rishabh Pant was traveling alone. Hence, he could not get out of the car on his own. His car had started catching fire gradually. Rishabh made an unsuccessful attempt to smash the car window. Finally, two bus officials and the passengers at the scene came to his rescue and pulled the cricketer out of the car just in time.

Rishabh Pant suffered severe injuries and taken to a local hospital. He suffered injuries on his head, back, knee, toe, and wrist. However, his spine scans are normal and the wicketkeeper is stable. BCCI has shared timely updates regarding the recent developments. They assured that all the necessary assistance would be provided to Pant whenever needed.
However, according to a recent report, fans from across the country have been calling the BCCI headquarters office in Mumbai nonstop. The office employees said that the fans are worried and are asking for constant updates on his health. They are worried about the gravity of his injuries and also want to know when Rishabh Pant can make a comeback.
Apart from the fans, cricketers from across the world have sent in their best wishes for Rishabh Pant and prayed for his speedy recovery. The Indian prime minister, Narendra Modi, spoke to Pant’s family and assured all assistance. Moreover, the bus officials were honored by the government for their heroic effort to save Rishabh.
