Yuvraj Singh and Irfan Pathan discuss the reducing significance of ODIs

Former India cricketer, Yuvraj Singh has expressed concern about the reducing significance of ODIs and expressed the same on Twitter.

While India had a great outing in the 3rd ODI against Sri Lanka, the response from the locals at Trivandrum was lukewarm.

India also registered a massive 317-run win against Sri Lanka which is now their biggest margin of victory by runs in ODIs.

Meanwhile, Yuvraj Singh has congratulated Shubman Gill and Yuvraj Singh on getting their respective centuries in the 3rd ODI.

With the ODI World Cup later this year, India have already looked solid with this 3-0 whitewash against Sri Lanka.

Irfan Pathan gives a hilarious reply to Yuvraj Singh’s tweet

Writes Yuvraj on Twitter,

Well played @ShubmanGill hopefully goes on to make a hundred @imVkohli batting at the other end looking Solid! But concern for me half empty stadium? Is one day cricket dying? #IndiavsSrilanka.

The first person to give reply to this Tweet was Irfan Pathan who says,

Bhai pads pehen lo. Aajegi jantaaa (brother, pad up… spectators will come to stadium).

The third ODI between India and Sri Lanka was mostly a dead rubber and a one-sided match.

India remained dominant throughout the match and had already won the series 2-0.

The stadium at Trivandrum witnessed a packed house in 2018 when India played the West Indies which was majorly weather-affected.

However, in the third ODI yesterday, the stadium wore a near-desolate look as only 20,000 fans came to watch the match in the 38,000-capacity stadium for the final ODI.

This ODI series has been heavily dominated by India and they continued their dominance even in the third ODI.

Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli notched up their respective centuries to take India to a massive total of 390.

Sri Lanka on the other hand, could only score 73 and fell like a pile of cards.
