Ajit Agarkar is most likely to be India crciket team’s new Chief Selector. BCCI is also going to increase the salary of Chief Selector . The salary earlier was INR 1 Crore.

Many big cricketers did not apply for the role due to the low salary for the role. Ajit Agarkar is to be the next chief selector. Those cricketers easily earn more than this with less time. They do 2 months of the Indian Premier League, and 4 to 5 months in the home season for the Indian team as a commentator. Furthermore, some brand promotions as well. The second option gives the former cricketers a better rest and family time. Work and life are good in the second option only.

The report said that Ajit Agarkar is the frontrunner for the role of BCCI’s Chief Selector. Subroto Banerjee, Salil Ankola, Sridharan Sharath, and Shiv Sundar Das are the others who opt for this role. There was also the rumor that Virender Sehwag was approached for the role. The rumor report further added that He declined the offer due to less salary offered by the BCCI. However, Virender Sehwag said that he did not receive any such offers from the BCCI. Ajit Agarkar for the Indian team played  26 Tests, 191 ODI, and four T20s. He was also part of the 2007 World T20i Cup under MS Dhoni.
