Curtly Ambrose on Jasprit Bumrah
“When we used to talk about India in the past, we quickly thought… spin. But they have produced some good fast bowlers. Like Kapil Dev, a great all-rounder. Now there is Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj. They are wonderful players,”. Curtly Ambrose told Rev Sports.
He further added on Bumrah that
“I do like Bumrah a lot because he is so different. He’s not the conventional fast bowler with a long run-up and other attributes. He has a short run-up, walks a bit, takes two or three strides and jumps to deliver. He is totally different but highly effective. That’s his style and it works for him,” Curtly Ambrose added.
Bumrah is now in the rehab process for his back injury. The injury has kept him outside the Indian for a very long time now. However, he is shown very good progression in his rehab at NCA. It is most likely that he might be part of the Ireland T20I series. The Indian Captain Rohit Sharma said that they want Bumrah to play as many games as possible ahead of the World Cup to give him the game time.
