David Warner says wickets at their home was challenging

Delhi Capitals

David Warner, the Delhi capitals captain in this Indian Premier League instead of Wicket Keeper Pant. Delhi has scored only one 200 plus score in this IPL. Many teams are chasing 200 plus in this IPL. Mumbai Indians has chased 200 plus runs three times to reach the playoffs. This might be one of the reason why Delhi could not make it playoffs.

David Warner said that

He says that playing in Delhi wicket was challenging and wickets have been inconsistent. he stated that they could not work on the best total back home.

I think playing on a nice wicket helps … it’s been challenging for us back at home with a lot of slow wickets and inconsistent pitches, it’s good to get the guys here for some momentum … at your home venue you want a bit of consistency and that’s been the difficult thing. We haven’t been able to work out what the best total is there,” Warner was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.

Rilee Rossouw, further said the same as David Warner

“It’s long overdue, let’s put it that way. The wicket was really good to bat on, we haven’t had many of those this season and it was just good to be on a batting wicket,” said Rossouw.

Delhi lost their last league match of the season as well against Chennai Super Kings. The team Chennai won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 200 plus runs. However, Delhi could not even go close to the target.
