Deandra Dottin again played a crucial role for her team to get a series lead after her 150 not out in the first ODI was spoiled by the rain.

The second ODI went down the wire as it became a thriller between the two sides in Johannesburg.

In the first innings, South Africa Women were put in to bat after West Indies Women won the toss. The former could not manage to get enough runs and were all out for just 160. The top performers for South Africa were Laura Wolvaardt, Tazmin Brits, Sune Luus and Mignon du Preez.

All these batters contributed some runs to take the team total to 160. The visitors, it was Chinelle Henry and Shamilla Connell who kept taking wickets at regular intervals for the West Indies.

In the second innings, the West Indies women also faltered at their batting. Deandra Dottin once again came to the fore and smashed runs. But soon, the team was tottering as wickets fell in quick succession and the game went into a super over.

For the hosts, it was Ayabonga Khaka who took a five-wicket haul.

In the super over, West Indies women batted first and made 25 in their 6 balls. South African women too started well but could not reach the target.

Brief scores- South Africa Women 160 all out in 40.4 overs (Sune Luus 46; Hayley Matthews 2-21, Shamilla Connell 2-22) tied with West Indies women 160 all out in 37.4 overs (Deandra Dottin 37; Chedean Nation 35; Ayabonga Khaka 5-26; Sune Luus 2-25) West Indies Women won the one-over eliminator.
