Faf speaks up after failing to defend 200 against Mumbai Indians

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Royal Challengers Bangalore clashed against Mumbai Indians in the rivalry week of IPL in Mumbai. After winning the toss captain of Mumbai Indians Rohit Sharma decided to bowl first. The decision he took was a no brainer. Whoever wins the toss in Wankhede decides to bowl first only. After being put to bat first RCB lost 2 wickets in the powerplay itself. However, Faf Du Plessis and Maxwell put up a great hundred plus runs partnership. This partnership helped them to post 200 as a target for the Mumbai Franchise

Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf said that

“I think we were at least 20 runs short, in the context of the wicket. They are a strong chasing team and they bat deep. We didn’t capitalize in the last five overs, disappointed due to the lack of runs in those five overs.” said captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore

Faf Du Plessis further added that

“He (Suryakumar Yadav) is one of the best, when he gets going, it’s difficult to shut him down. Siraj has been fantastic in the first half of IPL. He got away with it for a long time, but the guys are going to come out and play positively,” he added.

Royal Challengers Bangalore has always been a team of superstars who fail to perform whenever required. This time the superstars are Virat Kohli, Faf Du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, Hazelwood. Mumbai chased the target before the start of 17th over. They tried to finish the match early but some wickets in the end lead to late finish.
