Sunil Gavaskar has praised the Indian coaches for their performance in this year IPL. He has praised the big names such as Nehra, Chandu Pandit, and Gautam Gambhir.

Sunil Gavaskar wrote that

“Look at the progress made by Rinku Singh under Chandu Pandit, the terrific coming back to the form of Venkatesh Iyer and Varun Chakravarthy, and Nitish Rana growing as a captain. Under the guidance of Gautam Gambhir, see how Ravi Bishnoi, Ayush Badoni, and Naveen-Ul-Haq are flowering. As also under Ashish Nehra and Hardik Pandya, who invariably find a new player of the match.” wrote Sunil Gavaskar

He further added that

“That’s simply because communication and reach are easy for the domestic Indian players in these teams. Mind you, there will always be the overseas champ who has a way with young players and can act as a guide and mentor to them. These are rare exceptions and not the norm,”. Gavaskar wrote in his column for Sportstar.

For your Information, under the coach, Ashish Nehra Gujarat Titans won the championship in IPL 22 and topped the table in IPL 23. Chandrakant Pandit has helped Rinku Singh to play for his potential. He made others like Iyer and Varun to perform well for their team. The Indians in the KKR team have done very well. Gavaskar pointed things very well in his column.

Gautam Gambhir has always supported and backed his team players in every situation. On the other hand, foreign coaches could not make a good impact in this year’s IPL. Ricky Ponting as a head coach had a terrible season this year.
