Australia and India are going to meet again for the World Test Championship Final. The match is going to happen in The Oval. Both the teams have announced the squad for the big event. This is the second edition of the World Test Championship. India qualified for the final for the second time. Ricky Ponting says Ishan Kishan is an X-factor in the Indian team. He further added that he can do what Pant did for the team when he was there in the team. However, there is a lot of injury concerns for the Indian team.
Ricky Ponting on Ishan Kishan said that
“But there is another X factor that has just been added in Ishan Kishan. If you look at the way he plays, he is probably the most like Rishabh Pant with his potential to keep and bat in the middle order,”. Ponting said at an event organised by the International Cricket Council.
Ricky Ponting further added that
If they do play those guys they should be given the right to play an aggressive brand of cricket. The best chance for India to achieve a result is by being a bit more adventurous in the way they play and Australia will try to do the same thing.”. Ponting said on Surya Kumar Yadav should be in the main squad in the World Test Championship Final.
Indians are not going to have the service of Shreyas Iyer, fast bowler Bumrah, and former vice captain KL Rahul. It is a huge challenge for Rohit Sharma’s team.
