Kevin Pietersen sums up the half way of Indian Premier League 23

Kevin Pietersen, the former England player is now doing commentary in the IPL. In the column, he said about India’s Rishabh Pant’s replacement in the form of Jitesh Sharma. Jitesh is the player from PBKS who plays a finisher role and smashes hard sixes all around the ground. He also said that he feels Jitesh is something special. In the post match presentation, Jitesh revealed he has inspired by the six hitting from the captain of the Indian team Rohit Sharma.

“India have their Rishabh Pant replacement. Jitesh Sharma, the wicket-keeper from Punjab Kings, is also something special. I think he could be the guy who takes over from Rishabh Pant for India if Pant is out for a while longer. His 25 off seven balls, including four sixes, against Mumbai on Saturday was match-winning,”

Kevin Pietersen further added that

The older guys he mentioned is about the players like  Faf du Plessis, David Warner, and Ajinkya Rahane. Warner is giving his best at the worst for the team. Faf Du Plessis is giving the great starts and carrying the team despite injury. Rahane got the test recall after the return to IPL.
