“It could have been a lot worse. By the grace of god, we are okay and I am talking to you. I had gone to drop my nephew but a massive truck hit my car from behind around 9.30pm. Thank god it [his] was a big car, else there could have been injuries. I initially thought just the bumper would be broken but the car is badly damaged,” Praveen Kumar was quoted as saying by ESPNCricinfo.
After the accident the crowd gathered very quickly, the crowd caught the truck driver who crashed into their car. The accused truck driver was taken into custody by police later. Praveen Kumar and his son were returning from Pandav Nagar in their Land Rover car. Then this accident took place. However, both dad and son were not got hurt in this incident. The 36 year old took retirement at the age of 32 in the year 2018. He was a key fast bowler in the tri series in Australia against the Sri Lanka.
The pace bowler has taken over 100 wickets for the Indian team in International cricket.
