Sanju Samson, Rajasthan Royals captain in the post match presentation says that he feels shocked seeing their stand at the table. He further added that they have a quality team. Rajasthan Royals won only four matches out of the last ten matches in the league. However, Rajasthan was the runner-up in the last season of the Indian Premier League. In the early stage of the IPL, they won three matches out of the first four matches in this IPL. They now need the help of Gujarat Titans and Sunrises Hyderabad to qualify for the playoffs. Samson and Royals are now placed in the fifth position in the points table.
Sanju Samson said that
“We have a quality team and it is a little shocking to see where we stand on the table,” Sanju Samson said in the post-match presentation.
Samson further added that
“I think at the end of the game, when Hety (Hetmyer) was going strong we thought we will finish by 18.5. Almost 90 percent of the times we feel Boult will take a wicket in the first over. We were under pressure in the last few games,” Sanju Samson added.
Rajasthan Royals beat Punjab Kings in their last league match of IPL 23. The match happened in Dharmsala. Sanju Samson could not make a big impact in most of the matches in this IPL. Their opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is their star performer of the season. He has won the matches single handed. The team got all out for 59 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
