Arjun Tendulkar, who bowled only two overs against Gujarat, was questioned for not being given the ball during the death overs. The 23-year-old dismissed Wriddhiman Saha early on and conceded just nine runs in the two overs he bowled. In response to these criticisms, Mumbai’s bowling coach Shane Bond said that the youngster did what was asked of him. MI’s defeat has put them under pressure, and they need to bounce back quickly to stay in contention for the playoffs.

On April 25, the Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans handed Mumbai Indians (MI) their fourth loss in the IPL 2023 season. MI could not perform to their best abilities, and they allowed Gujarat to score too many runs in the latter stages of the first innings.

Shane Bond’s opinion on Arjun Tendulkar’s pace

“He did well today [Tuesday]. After what happened in the last game, it’s never easy to step out onto the ground that is a Colosseum with a big crowd. Obviously, we would like him to work on increasing his pace a little bit, but he did all that was asked of him today,”

Shane Bond said.

Mumbai Indians suffered a crushing 55-run defeat against Gujarat Titans in their IPL 2023 match. Skipper Rohit Sharma was dismissed for just two runs. Ishan Kishan failed to make an impact, contributing only 13 runs off 21 deliveries. Nehal Wadhera played a quick knock of 40 runs off 21 balls. But it was not enough to save the team.

Mumbai Indians struggled to cope with Gujarat’s bowling attack and eventually lost the game. The Gujarat Titans have won five of their seven matches and are second in the points table. While Mumbai Indians have won three of their seven games and are currently in the seventh position.
