Simon Doull said that

“Shubman was getting tired. He wasn’t able to hit the boundaries as much as he could. And it can happen. Listen…it might be controversial, but I am waiting for the day when a bloke gets 75 or 80 off 45 balls and is cooked after the afternoon heat, which is 45 degrees, and hence quite can’t get there, so he says, ‘Okay Tewatia, you are out there.’ Retire him out,” Simon Doull told Cricbuzz.

Shubman Gill scored 94* runs in 51 deliveries after the start given by Saha. Saha gave the start scoring fifty in just 20 balls that too with in the powerplay. His innings gave Gill the time to settle in the crease. Simon Doull said that Gill should have retired out because of the heat in the venue. He further added that Tewatia is there to go out and can out hit easily. So, Simon Doull wanted Gill to retire out.
