It’s a confirmed fracture,”

Australian head coach further on Travis Head said that

“As to the nature of what sort of time frame that lends itself to, that will be assessed tomorrow, “I’m not a medical person but I think it’s a bit higher up than the finger itself … it’s in a joint (in the hand) somewhere. Fingers crossed with the World Cup fast approaching,”. Australian head coach said.

Travis Head was hit in the left glove in the One Day match against South Africa in South Africa. The ball was bowled by Proteas pacer Gerald Coetzee in the seventh over of the match. Even after getting hit in the left glove during the fourth ODI match. He faced three more deliveries in the same match. As the fracture takes a lot of time to recover. Ti is most likely that the left-hander will miss at least the start of the World Cup in India. However, the Australian team has a three-match ODI series against India in India just before the start of the World Cup. The team will look for a replacement for Head in that series.
