India batter, Virat Kohli is once again back to his run-machine form as he has now smacked three tons in the span of four months.
The first of these came during the Asia Cup where he ended his 1019 days drought to hit a century against Afghanistan.
His second century came against Bangladesh a month ago and now his latest century has come against Sri Lanka in the first ODI.
Additionally, Kohli has scored his 45th ODI century which means he is on the verge of breaking Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 49 ODI centuries.
That is why all of the cricket fraternity is looking forward to the breaking of this record.
Moreover, as 2023 is the ODI World Cup year, so the Men in Blue have shifted all of their focus to playing more Tests and ODIs rather than T20Is.
Wasim Jaffer makes some great predictions for Kohli and Team India
Now, former India cricketer, Wasim Jaffer has made two predictions for Virat Kohli and Team India ahead of the third ODI at Trivandrum.
The first of these is that if Virat Kohli crosses the 30-run mark, he will get his century today against Sri Lanka.
If Virat Kohli crosses the 30-run mark, he will get to another ODI hundred. He is not the kind of player who will reach 40-50 and then throw his wicket away. So a good start and a hundred is pretty much on the cards.
The second prediction from Jaffer is that India will be able to perform a 3-0 clean sweep over Sri Lanka in the final ODI.
I think India will win 3-0 because they are a very strong team. I will be surprised if they lose the final ODI.
With India leading the series 2-0, there are high chances that the hosts will be able to perform a clean sweep over the visitors.
Sri Lanka on the other hand will look to get a consolation win for themselves before they sign off the tour.
