Ebadot Hossain is most likely to miss the Asia Cup which is going to start on August 30.
Ebadot Hussain’s Injury
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu said
“The physio will give us a report tomorrow since there is some concern on Ebadot Hussian’s fitness. Then we will take a decision,” he said.
The fast bowler had an injury in his left leg during the Afghanistan Vs Bangladesh ODI series in Bangladesh. The series took place last month. He got injured in the second ODI match of the series. Ebadot further did not take part in the T20I series Vs the Afghanistan team. The quick-arm bowler is undergoing rehab to return to the Asia Cup. However, the things are not looking positive for the pacer.
Since the World Cup is nearing the Bangladesh Cricket Board might not consider him for the Asia Cup. It is also reported that Bangladesh management won’t name a replacement as there are four pacers on the team. Furthermore, Tanzim Hasan Sakib might travel as a replacement for Ebadot to groom him for the future. Tanzim Hasan Sakib impressed many by performing well in the Emerging Asia Cup. Shakib Al Hasan to lead the team in the Asia Cup and World Cup.
