Harbhajan Singh defends KL Rahul amid criticism over performance

KL

Harbhajan Singh has expressed his support for KL Rahul amidst the controversy surrounding his struggles with the bat. Harbhajan has urged everyone to leave Rahul alone.

Rahul has been having a difficult time in Test cricket, with only one fifty in his last six Test matches for India. In the ongoing BGT, he has recorded scores of 20, 17, and 1 in the first two Tests. Singh’s plea for support comes at a critical time for Rahul, who will need all the encouragement he can get to regain his form. Despite his recent struggles, Rahul remains a valuable member of the Indian team, and his return to form will be crucial in India’s bid to win the series.

HARBHAJAN ASKED EVERYONE TO ENCOURAGE RAHUL

The team management has continued to back KL Rahul despite his recent poor form, even though an in-form Shubhman Gill is on the sidelines. This decision has drawn criticism from former Indian pacer Venkatesh Prasad and fans alike. Harbhajan has urged fans to maintain their faith in the struggling opener.

Former Indian cricketers Venkatesh Prasad and Aakash Chopra have engaged in a Twitter war over KL Rahul. Prasad has criticized Rahul’s poor run and this has sparked a war of words with Chopra.

Chopra in his YouTube video said:

“I am not saying KL Rahul will become like Rohit Sharma but I humbly request you to stay calm. If there are any agendas, let’s not peddle them. Let’s talk about the numbers that are actually there and not those that suit your thoughts.”

Replying to Chopra, Venkatesh Prasad said:

“I admire Aakash for the hard work he puts on his YouTube channel but calling a different view point as agenda because it doesn’t suit his narrative is poor. There is no bitterness between us and since his video was in public domain wanted to put my point out here.”
